I’m Joshua Steele, and I am committed to advancing God’s Kingdom academically, pastorally, and globally – as missionary, pastor, and professor.
Currently, I am completing my M.Div. at Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, Alabama. After graduating with this degree in December 2016, I plan to complete a Ph.D. in Historical/Systematic Theology. Right now, my research interests include Karl Barth, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and the theological critique of religion.

I also serve as the Youth Minister at St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Mountain Brook, Alabama. I am in the first stages of the ordination process (priest) within the Anglican Church of North America, and I would like to pursue Spanish-speaking ministry opportunities, along the lines of the Caminemos Juntos movement.

Of course, there’s much more to me than what I’ve written, taught, and preached! I have been married to the love of my life, Rachel, since August 2012. She is a Registered Nurse at Children’s of Alabama Hospital, and is completing a Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, in order to become a Family Nurse Practitioner.
I know I’m biased, but we make a great team together in order to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs to the glory of God.
